My honey is either stiff or getting cloudy. What do I do?

Yeeeess!  Sometimes honey will go through a mind-blowing transformation called crystallizing.  This is when your liquid honey begins to harden and look a little crystal-like. This is a very natural thing with honey, and is actually like unlocking a cheat code to your honey. You have two options:

1. Return the honey to its liquid form: Heat the jar in warm water, or remove the lid and heat it in the microwave for 8 seconds-ish.

2. Start Spreading: Now since the composition of your honey has changed you can start spreading it like a butter.  You thought drizzling honey over biscuits was nice, wait until you spread your crystallized honey on top of that warm biscuit and add butter.

*make sure to keep checking back on any new ways to use your honey

What’s the Shelf Life for Akron Honey?

Akron Honey never goes bad. Honestly, you should be Freaking Yo’ Food so much that you run out honey right after you make your first batch of fried chicken.  Remember to keep our honey on your counter, not your cupboard.

      What’s in the Urban Honey?

We love when people ask us that.  The reason why our urban honey tastes so distinctive is because of our process (remember our DNA is flavor).  Since we don’t strain, filter, or mix our urban honey with any other batches the result is a mind-blowing experience.  Plus our urban honey is harvested in the city where there’s a diverse food source for the bees.
